One year ago, a group of highly trained operatives deserted an equally highly shady organization. These operatives, dubbed the Dirty Thirty, were all powered individuals; the organization, a black ops division of the government known simply as Division, tasked with identifying, assimilating, training and utilizing humans possessing what the layperson would consider superpowers. The aim behind this imperative was similarly shady: to work towards the continued global dominance, by any means necessary, of the government.
Day Zero, as the date of their defection is known, was a carefully planned exfil coordinated by ringleaders Velvet Glove and Iron Fist. The actual execution was a bloody affair, with several left behind for dead, many bridges burnt, and the remaining operatives subject to reconditioning by Division before being retasked to hunting and eliminating the Dirty Thirty.
POWEREDS is an original group PSL focusing on a fractured group of superheroes fighting for their right to exist free of coercion. Character numbers are restricted to foster a close writing environment where drama and high-octane plot are encouraged. We draw inspiration from various fandoms, including Nikita (CW), Hanna, The Umbrella Academy, the Treadstone/Jason Bourne universe, Black Widow, and basically all superhero content ever. |
